Terms of Service
0. Plain-English summary
WABook is a free, unofficial side project that lets you forward EasyWeek booking events to your personal WhatsApp via an unofficial WhatsApp Web library. It's not affiliated with EasyWeek or WhatsApp. Using it may get your WhatsApp number banned. There's no SLA, no guarantee, no support obligation. Don't use it for spam.
If you're not okay with any of that — please don't sign up.
1. What WABook is
WABook ("the Service") is an independent, hobby-grade software project that:
- Receives webhook events from EasyWeek (a third-party scheduling platform)
- Renders message templates with payload variables
- Forwards the rendered message to WhatsApp via the unofficial
whatsapp-web.jslibrary, using your linked WhatsApp account
The Service is operated as a personal project, not a registered business. The operator may shut it down, change features, or modify these Terms at any time.
2. Not affiliated with EasyWeek or WhatsApp
WABook is not endorsed by, sponsored by, affiliated with, or otherwise connected to EasyWeek, Meta Platforms Inc., WhatsApp LLC, or any of their subsidiaries. "EasyWeek" and "WhatsApp" are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only for descriptive purposes (nominative fair use).
EasyWeek already offers a paid WhatsApp integration through the official WhatsApp Business API on its higher-tier plans. That is the supported, official path. WABook is not a substitute for that.
3. Risks you accept
By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept the following risks:
- WhatsApp ban risk. The Service automates WhatsApp Web through an unofficial library. This violates WhatsApp's Terms of Service. WhatsApp may detect and ban your number at any time, with no warning and no recourse. Low-volume legitimate use rarely triggers bans, but it can happen.
- Service interruption. The Service may stop working entirely if WhatsApp updates and breaks the underlying library, if the operator's infrastructure fails, or if the operator decides to shut it down.
- No SLA. There is no uptime guarantee, no promised response time, and no support obligation.
- Data loss. Your account, sessions, templates, and logs may be deleted at any time without notice.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for sending messages to people who have a clear, expected business relationship with you — typically your booked clients. Specifically, you agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Send unsolicited marketing messages, advertisements, or promotional broadcasts
- Engage in cold outreach, lead generation, or any form of bulk messaging
- Send harmful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, sexually explicit, or illegal content
- Impersonate another person or business
- Send messages on behalf of someone other than the natural operator of the linked WhatsApp account
- Reverse-engineer, attack, or attempt to disrupt the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the Service
- Circumvent the built-in rate limits (currently 20 messages per hour, 100 per day per account)
If automated systems detect a spam pattern (for example, sending to a high number of distinct phones within a short window), your account may be flagged or banned automatically without notice.
5. Account and verification
You must provide a valid email address. Disposable / temporary email providers are blocked. You must verify your email before connecting WhatsApp. You are responsible for the security of your password.
One WhatsApp number can only be linked to one WABook account. Attempting to link the same number to multiple accounts will result in the older session being disconnected.
6. Your data
See the Privacy Policy for what we collect, why, and how to delete it. In short: we store your account, WhatsApp session credentials (locally), message templates, and the last 100 webhook events as a debugging log.
Webhook payloads from EasyWeek may contain personal data of your clients (names, phone numbers, booking details). You — not WABook — are the controller of that data under GDPR and similar laws. By using the Service, you confirm you have a lawful basis to process and forward this data via WhatsApp.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
The operator makes no representation that the Service complies with any specific law in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for your own legal compliance.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:
- Loss of profits, business, data, goodwill, or reputation
- WhatsApp account bans or any consequences thereof
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Damages arising from messages sent (or not sent) through the Service
The operator's total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims arising from the use of the Service shall not exceed €10 (ten euros), or the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater. Since the Service is free, this means the operator's liability is effectively limited to €10.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights (including WhatsApp's Terms of Service), or messages you send through the Service.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by contacting the operator. The operator may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including detected spam patterns, abusive behavior, or simply because the Service is being shut down.
11. Changes to these Terms
The operator may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to verified accounts. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland (the operator's place of residence), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from the Service shall be resolved in the competent courts of Warsaw, Poland — or, if you are a consumer protected by mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence, the courts of that country.
13. Contact
For any questions about these Terms, contact the operator at the email shown on the website. (No public email yet — this is a side project.)
